Representations of the Human Mind in Art
The Ice Age art exhibition at the British Museum. The art of the whole human mind: functional as well as beautiful. 


  1. It's a tiger, carved from (I think) mammoth bone. The animal is either crouching or just taking off to land on the back of a prey animal, hopefully not the photographer . . . ;P

    It may have been some sort of teaching tool I think, because if you project its shadow onto your tent wall you (and your children) get the message.

    PS: I need to go back and see this exh again - once is not enough (the objects are relatively small and the crowds
